This past March, SDV and Bolloré Africa Logistics, leaders in End-to-End logistics solutions in Africa, participated in the Africa Business Forum Dublin dedicated to businesses and logistics solutions for the African continent. David Morel, Sales Director at Bolloré Africa Logistics, also attended the forum in Dublin, Ireland.
The aim of the event, organized by the Irish Exporters Association (IEA), was to place Africa at the heart of the investment policy of global corporations with operations in Ireland and offer them a range of logistics solutions they can trust as they enter the African market. David Morel explained what the Bolloré Group had to offer through its two flagship brands — SDV and Bolloré Africa Logistics — offering major accounts unbroken End-to-End logistics solutions for their shipments.
Mr. Morel spoke before approximately 150 decision-makers including Irish exporters and diplomatic representatives, notably the South African, Kenyan, Ethiopian and Lesotho ambassadors in Ireland.
Did you know?
- Ireland holds an important strategic place in trading between Europe and Africa. On one hand, because it is a decision-making hub for world trade with numerous corporate head offices located in the country. Also, many multinationals have chosen to develop their production plants in Ireland, notably in the pharmaceutical, hi-tech and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industries.
- The dairy and meat processing industries are Ireland’s biggest exporters in terms of volumes. The logistics and transportation issues they encounter are mainly related to cold chain optimization.
