SDV Korea Extends its Logistics Operations in Busan for a Leading Electrical Supplier

June 30th, 2015

In March 2015, SDV Korea was awarded a two-year contract by a global leader in energy management in South Korea for its logistics operations in Busan and by the same occasion opened its 3rd logistics center located in Busan New Port (Free Trade Zone).

Thanks to SDV’s knowledge of the customer through many years of worldwide Freight Forwarding cooperation, along with SDV trademark of tailor-made solutions, SDV Korea was able to offer a logistics solution with 30% less space and increase capacity by 60% more than the customer’s previous provider.

Additionally, SDV’s solution offered the best Warehouse Management System (WMS - MIDAS) capability among all participants of the tender: stock visibility, strict First-In First-Out (FIFO), end-to-end traceability, serial number (s/n) tracking, ageing reports, etc.

Regarding the design, implementations, migration, go-live and stabilization phases, SDV was able to manage and maintain high levels of satisfaction from its customer in all domains: productivity, quality of operations, reporting, backup plans and QHSE level.

This new strategic development gives SDV the opportunity to now offer a wider range of logistics services in South Korea and regionally, with a fully bonded warehouse located within 15 minutes of Busan New Port.
