HANJIN SHIPPING under Receivership

September 2nd, 2016

Dear valued Customer,

We have been informed about an extremely serious financial situation of the shipping company, HANJIN SHIPPING, which asked for the Korean Courts to be under receivership.

The local Courts should make an official decision in the coming days.

In the meantime, the BOLLORÉ LOGISTICS Agencies are closely following this situation which is evolving very quickly.

In this context:

  • BOLLORÉ LOGISTICS has decided to immediately stop any loading freight originally scheduled on HANJIN ships and/or under the HANJIN B/L. We are doing the best to find alternative solutions, so as to ship the goods concerned by this issue as quickly as possible.
  • For the containers that have already reached the different ports of destination but still under the custody of HANJIN SHIPPING, BOLLORÉ LOGISTICS is doing its best to gate-out the containers from the port terminals as quickly as possible; please note that some terminal handling operators already apply a right of retention.
  • For containers that are currently on board HANJIN SHIPPING ships (floating), a permanent follow-up throughout the BOLLORÉ LOGISTICS network is made. We will of course keep you closely informed about any new information. This situation could lead to a possible ship seizure/arrest.

We remain at your disposal for any additional information you may need and we would like to assure you of our utmost attention to the situation.

We thank you for your attention and trust in our teams.
