The second edition of the “Stratégies Logistique - Sustainable Innovation Award” organised by Premium Contact in partnership with “Stratégies Logistique” and which took place on 13th December 2016, at World Class Logistics Day in Paris has awarded the Bolloré group through its Bolloré Logistics and Bluedistrib brands.
Bolloré Logistics Roissy CDG winner of the Infrastructure Category
This category covers developments for operational logistics buildings or sites which have made commendable efforts in sustainable development. Bolloré Logistics Roissy was competing against the East Ile-de-France distribution centre developed by Barjane for Auchan supermarkets, in operation since January 2016.
The jury of sector experts chose our Green Hub in Roissy, a 42,500m² cutting-edge air freight platform equipped with the latest technologies, because it is part of Bolloré Logistics’ active policy to build responsible and sustainable buildings, in an attempt to reduce the environmental impact of its activities.
The site complies with the strictest environmental standards (LEED Gold, HQE Exceptionnel, AFILOG*** and Bâtiment Biosourcé certificates) and is also one of the world’s first buildings to have received the BiodiverCity label, the first international label to recognise a biodiversity-focused approach in construction and innovation projects, and the Biodiversity Commitment Ecocert certification too.
Different layouts were incorporated in the site to improve the quality of life at work: installation of new equipment to reduce effort, reduction of indoor and sound pollution, installation of a lounge area, creation of a vegetable garden, a planted walkway, four beehives and a Biodiversity Club, etc.
Bluedistrib winner of the Urban Logistics category
Bluedistrib, a brand of Bolloré Logistics, wins the Sustainable Innovation Award in the Urban Logistics category.
Given by Anne Hirsch (Garnier Maybelline / L'ORÉAL Group), this prize rewards the efforts made since almost one year to initiate "A New City Mode".
A new city mode in which the consumer gets his supplies through several channels, one based on the trade of his district, while the last kilometer of the other packages of the urban logistics is done at night and in electric vehicles.
"We wished to welcome this lasting innovation in 360 °, combining societal ambition, through the dimension of local commerce, and environmental ambition, with decarbonized logistics (...) said Anne Hirsch on behalf of the Jury, during the introduction speech of the awarding of this prize.
At the end of the ceremonies, the Bolloré Logistics and Bluedistrib teams were able to share their happiness and satisfaction.
