On February 17, 2016, during the Africa Healthcare Summit in London, before an audience of health ministers, African infrastructure development government officials and Industry decision makers, Bolloré Logistics received the “Outstanding Contribution to the African Healthcare Industry” award.

The Africa Healthcare Summit is the largest African healthcare event held in Europe. It emphasizes on the latest healthcare developments across Africa, assessing current reform measures and examining the impact of the huge investment boom that is currently forecast in Africa’s healthcare sector.

The esteemed judging panel consisted of various industry prominent stakeholders including Dr. Ladi Awosika (Chairman, Total Health Trust Ltd.), Dr. Jacqueline Wasonga Kitulu (Vice President, Kenya Medical Association), and Dr. Zeinab Cole (Associate, Private Sector Health Alliance of Nigeria).

Isabelle Hagner, Healthcare Industry and NGO Director for the Africa region, helped Bolloré Logistics stand out from the rest of the nominees by focusing on the strengthening of the Public Health Systems, thereby demonstrating Bolloré Logistics’ pursuing strategy to provide sustainable solutions related to Healthcare distribution on the African continent. Collaboration on projects such as in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and in Malawi with the National AIDS Commission and The Global Fund were presented to illustrate our continuous efforts on the deployment of operations to support Public Health Systems in Africa.
