For the 6th year running, Bolloré Logistics held the prestigious position of Platinum Sponsor at the annual Airline Purchasing & Maintenance Expo.
This event took place at Olympia, London June 1-2, and gathered the entire airline supply chain, with over 200 industry suppliers displaying their products and services to over 3,000 aviation professionals.
As Platinum Sponsor, Bolloré Logistics took charge of the spacious VIP Lounge at the heart of the exhibition. Here, guests often used the space for their own meetings as well as working on their communication, away from a delicate sales environment.
Importantly, this year gave us the chance to promote the new branding and explain the advantages of the Bolloré name. During this event, a large circular banner was created which hung from the ceiling to indicate our presence. As sponsors of the WiFi for the event, a ‘splash page’ was designed so that everyone accessing the internet was initially directed to Bolloré Logistics’ information.
Digital screens were set up within the fabric of our exhibition area to showcase the latest movies and presentations to offer more visual examples of Bolloré Logistics’ expertise, particularly in the Aerospace and Defence sector.
For the first time, Bolloré Logistics’ representatives attended the ap&m Summit which took place the day before the show, giving a thorough understanding of the market and the way the industry is heading with a key focus on supply chain.
One particular subject of interest was entitled ‘Finding Efficiencies in the Supply Chain’ and covered areas such as ‘Is there a move towards consolidation - do operators want to engage more, but with fewer suppliers?’ and ‘What steps can be taken to improve communication in regard to regulatory overview, traceability and transparency?’ The panel discussion also included one of Bolloré Logistics customer.
Jim Berryman, Aerospace Director at Bolloré Logistics United Kingdom, commented:
“The 2016 edition was certainly a new era with the Bolloré Logistics name change but turned out to be a very busy time with some excellent contacts. I think there was a genuine feeling amongst us all, that this was one of the most positive shows we had completed with key meetings taking place.”
“May I take this opportunity to thank all involved, with the continued support of the management, and for those who took the time to join us. We look forward to reporting success from our leads and our continued advance as one of the market leaders in this vertical.”- He said.
