With reference Power players and many industry suppliers in its portfolio, Bolloré Logistics highlights through this movie the technical expertise of logistics operations dedicated to Power & Energy.
"Africa has seen a tremendous growth in terms of energy projects in last few years. Many African countries are involved and we fortunately have our own teams in 43 African countries which enable us to follow our clients nearly everywhere on the continent. Some of the grid projects involve several countries and our presence associated with corridor management allow us to participate in regional interconnexion projects," explains Pierre-Yvan Gravière, Head of Africa Power & Energy Vertical market for Bolloré Logistics. This movie is a good way to show Bolloré Logistics' involvement in the logistic solution design, the implementation on sites as well as the security and training measures taken for this operation.
The movie illustrates the management of the day-to-day operations as well as the implementation of just-in-time supply chain model into project cargo and out of gauge package realized by Bolloré Logistics teams for the largest wind turbine project in Kenya in the Turkana lake region. Operators insist on the variety of operations conducted on behalf of Vestas Wind Systems. The project involved customs operations, vessel discharge and transportation of wind turbine generators from the port of Mombasa to the project site in Loyangalani District, Marsabit West County, located 1,220 km from Mombasa.
"This is the single largest wind turbine project in Kenya and Bolloré Transport & Logistics is very proud to be associated with this flagship project which will result in cheaper, cleaner energy to fuel Kenya's development" said Bolloré Transport & Logistics Regional CEO for East Africa, Jason Reynard.
This film is also an opportunity to picture Bolloré Logistics ability to deliver high quality standards project with a major training program and a high security engagement.
As of now, all Power & Energy Bolloré Logistics teams are able to use this support as a reference for their clients.
