One of the global leading tractor manufacturers, Same Deutz-Fahr, enquired Bolloré Logistics India to transport their first prototype tractor through Air.
Same Deutz-Fahr was looking for an integrated end-to-end solution including the movement of these 5 Tons of Dangerous Goods from their factory to the airport, the goods clearance and their transportation to Milan, Italy.
They floated the enquiry to five forwarders and eventually selected Bolloré Logistics based on the competitive rates, earliest satisfactory service on both Sea & Air shipment, and also its experience in handling prototype Cars for other customer.
Being the first project of its kind client's ever operated, Bolloré Logistics India has been requested to support through its expertise on the documentation management, along with the safe shipment of the goods from client's factory to Milan, Italy.
In order to guaranty a safe and efficient operation, both mandated airline and Bolloré Logistics teams, managed by Mr. Atul – Air Freight Manager, have had to establish a detailed action plan.
On the said day the tractor prototype was moved safely from client's Same Deutz-Fahr factory to Chennai Airport, in India.
If the clearance has been done without any difficulty, Bolloré logistics India team faced a challenge while handing over the cargo to Airlines due to the exceeding height of a bar near the Driver seat of the Tractor prototype.
But the issue was rapidly solved by taking the decision to fold the prototype's exceeding bar to reduce the cargo height, from a common agreement with the client's Same Deutz-Fahr project head. Finally airlines accepted the cargo and moved accordingly to the announced timeline.
The shipment reached Milan on targeted date and take for delivery.
The operation was such a success that Bolloré Logistics India team received an appreciation mail from its client Same Deutz-Fahr for perfectly managing its first prototype shipment.
Client's Same Deutz-Fahr project team was truly satisfied that the cargo reached on time without any further difficulty and recommended their management to give first preference to Bolloré Logistics for their upcoming project movements.
