May 4th, 2017

Bolloré Transport & Logistics Congo is focused on meeting its commitments to its customers, partners, and employees on a daily basis. On March 24th, 2017, the company received OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series) certification for its Health and Safety management system implemented for its logistics solutions, more specifically for oil projects, the delivery service and the technical department.

The OHSAS 18001 standard defines international requirements for the management of occupational health and safety. Its objective is to achieve better risk management to reduce the number of incidents and occupational diseases and to contribute to improving the overall performance of the company.

This success is all the more rewarding since it is the Bolloré Logistics business unit’s first OHSAS 18001 certification in Africa. The business unit of Bolloré Ports at the Abidjan Terminal in Ivory Coast is already OHSAS 18001 certified.

In addition, the ISO 9001:2008 certification was renewed for the shipping agency activity, logistics solutions (maritime and air), port logistics, petroleum logistics and also for travel agency and Express service activities.

These certifications are part of Bolloré Transport & Logistics’ continuous improvement process for its operations in Africa in terms of occupational health and safety, enabling us to anticipate the needs of our customers, particularly those in the oil sector where operational risk management is a critical issue.
