SDV, a subsidiary of Bolloré Logistics and leading global logistics provider, announced today that it has been positioned by Gartner, Inc. as a “Leader” in the 2015 Magic Quadrant for Third-Party Logistics (3PL), Europe.
12 providers were included in the report. SDV was one of the five 3PL’s positioned as a “Leader” in the Magic Quadrant.
“We are honored to be included in Gartner’s inaugural Magic Quadrant for Third-Party Logistics, Europe. We feel this report is the main reference in the industry for evaluating 3PL’s,” said Thierry Ehrenbogen, SDV President and Chief Executive Officer of Bolloré Logistics. “We believe recognition as a leader in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant report is a testament to the hard work our team puts in every day to serve our clients, and we will continue to deliver the highest quality of customer service and develop world-class global logistics solutions for our business partners”.
Gartner's Magic Quadrants are based on rigorous analysis, backed up by highly structured methodologies and are seen as the reference for competitive comparisons in the industry. This year, Gartner evaluated for the first time 3PL’s in the European market based on those companies’ “ability to execute” and “completeness of vision”. The evaluation criteria they used positioned the 3PL’s in four different quadrants: Leaders, Challengers, Visionaries, Niche Players.
