Bolloré Logistics brings its expertise to a Mexican wine importer.
AMC, one of the biggest international players in the Wines & Spirits logistics, and brand of Bolloré Logistics since 2016 quickly became an excellent partner of the customer in particular in one of the most delicate parts of their operations: the air import of "Grands Crus" such as Château Petrus or Château Margaux. In September, these represented a shipment of 10 tons.
The excellent coordination of shipments and communication with the customer through Miguel Mendoza, Operations Officer at Bolloré Logistics Mexico, has enabled the company to create a climate of trust and thus to be awarded the "star" delivery: the Beaujolais Nouveau, for which he is in charge at a national level.
The peculiarity of this expedition was a time constraint. Indeed, the goods were not able to leave the French territory before October 31 (Beaujolais settlement) and had to be distributed nationally in Mexico before the third Thursday of November, the annual date of the celebration of the Beaujolais Nouveau.
Thus, 41 pallets representing a volume of 48.74 m3 and a weight of nearly 26 tonnes left the city of Romanèche-Thorins (France) on October 28 to Roissy CDG airport. On November 1st, all the goods were embarked on a flight to Mexico for a smooth arrival and smooth delivery on November 2, in strict compliance with the integrity of the product and deadlines.
What is the Beaujolais Nouveau?
It is a French tradition that celebrates the end of the annual grape harvest and the release of the year's first wine. It takes place every year on the third Thursday of November.
