Bolloré Logistics attended the NDTA - Fall Meeting

October 16th, 2019

Bolloré Logistics attended the NDTA - Fall Meeting which was held from 7th to 10th October 2019 in Saint-Louis (MO), USA.

The Fall Meeting is co-sponsored by the National Defense Transportation Association and United States Transportation Command.

The theme for the fall meeting was “Fostering Partnerships to Preserve Peace and Prevail in Conflict…Then, Now, and Tomorrow.”

This year’s fall meeting was the largest ever, with over 1,600 attendees and more than 70 exhibitors. Its major focus is building relationships between Industry and Government to ensure the logistics enterprise is capable of supporting defense requirements.  It is the forum to foster “critical public and private partnerships in defense transportation through frank discussion about challenges, technologies and best practices.”

The fall meeting was the culmination of NDTA’s 75th Anniversary.  “Since World War II, the National Defense Transportation Association (NDTA) has served our country’s national defense and homeland security as a trusted environment where Government, military, and private sector professionals can solve pressing challenges in the fields of logistics, transportation, and passenger travel services.”  The NDTA has 233 corporate members (of which Bolloré Logistics is a sustaining member), more than 5,500 individual members and 30 active chapters world-wide.

By attending this Fall meeting, the Bolloré Logistics team was able to meet with a number of our current clients and connect with new industry partners to discuss future opportunities.  We were also able to engage with US Government representatives to explain how they can leverage commercial transportation capabilities to meet the requirements of the West Africa Logistics Network and discuss the capabilities of Bolloré Logistics to fulfill US Government requirements in Africa and around the world.

In addition to the exposition, Bolloré Logistics participated in “Transportation Academy” sessions focusing on Defense Logistics in Europe, Security Cooperation Management, West African Logistics Network, and Commercial Logistics: Near Peer Competition in Asia.

A real interesting exposition and meeting for the development of the Defense sector of Bolloré Logistics.
