Bolloré Transport & Logistics in Kenya Receives International Award for Health and Safety Practices

Bolloré Transport & Logistics has received the prestigious Silver Award from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).

The award was presented to Bolloré Transport & Logistics subsidiary in Kenya in recognition of its practices and achievements in workplace health and safety.

With nearly 2,000 entrants from organisations around the world, the RoSPA Awards Scheme examines the health and safety management systems of participating organizations, including leadership, workforce involvement, accident records and continuous improvement.

Achieving the Silver Award on our first attempt is very motivating for the entire Team as it reflects the high level of commitment to Safety by each one of us.” Said the Company’s CEO for East Africa Jason Reynard. “We now have our eyes on Gold.”

Safety is a global priority for Bolloré Transport & Logistics and it is championed through the organisation’s strong QHSE policy which is applicable to all its employees, suppliers and partners. In addition, the organisation invests heavily in safety training and technology in all its subsidiaries, and facilitates development of local initiatives for continuous improvement.

In 2018, Bolloré Transport & Logistics in Kenya scooped the Safety Award in the 2018 East Africa Maritime Awards. The Award recognised the organization’s significant contribution to improving safety and reducing the risk to life, cargo and infrastructure.
