Last World Tour of Tutankhamun in Paris

April 3rd, 2019

Toutânkhamun, the treasure of the Pharaoh, is the name of the fantastic exhibition that has just moved to the Grande Halle de la Villette (Paris) until September 15, 2019.

Organized by the Egyptian Ministry of antiquities with the help of the Louvre Museum, this immersive exhibition brings together more than 150 original objects drawn directly from the tomb of Toutânkhamun. More than 50 pieces of this collection will travel for the last time out of Egypt, before the permanent installation of artifacts within the new Egyptian Grand Museum currently under construction.

On the occasion of this great event, Bolloré Logistics was nominated logistic partner. While this same exhibition was recently presented in Los Angeles, the teams of Bolloré Logistics in Normandy in Tourville la Rivière (France) managed the partial transfer of the crates between the two exhibitions, as well as the management of orders for Paris.

This implies the receipt of fifteen containers, their customs clearance and the unstuffing, the quantitative and qualitative control of the goods, their storage and management of the stock on our tools. These products are intended for the souvenir shop of the exhibition. The latter is replenished according to requests for order preparation received, for which reactivity is paramount.

In parallel, the empty crates of collectibles are stored in the Grand Couronne warehouse in Normandy during the entire event.

The world tour of this exhibition will end in London. Discussions are underway with the event organizer and Bolloré Logistics UK & France to extend the collaboration.
