March 21st, 2019

On February 19th, 2019, Bolloré Logistics Korea won the award for the CSR category at the very first edition of the French Business Awards 2019 ceremony during its annual Seollal (lunar) New Year Party held in the Shilla hotel hosted by the French Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI) in the presence of the French Minister for Digital Affairs Mounir Mahjoubi.

As a member of FKCCI, Bolloré Logistics Korea participated by presenting its CSR activities and projects in Korea. The different project details were assessed by a jury composed of the board members of the FKCCI including CEOs of major French companies in Korea, along with representatives from French and Korean media who designated the winner.

Bolloré Logistics Korea has been investing ideas and time during these last years in different CSR activities and the jury recognized the diversity in the different CSR projects related to the protection of biodiversity or social issues.

Among the different CSR projects from Bolloré Logistics Korea during these past years, an urban Farm was installed on the rooftop of its Seoul office building, optimizing space resources, bringing green areas back to the city and involving the local community.

Also, by sponsoring “Urban bees Seoul”, Bolloré Logistics Korea promotes the idea of urban beekeeping together with the bees’ environmental benefits. This project is fully in line with the biodiversity protection policy carried out by Bolloré Logistics since 2013 and serves also an educational purpose for children.

Every year now, to support different health related campaigns; all employees of Bolloré Logistics Korea wear pink ribbons, in order to raise awareness about women’s breast cancers prevention. Moreover, in November, Bolloré Logistics Korea male employees grow their moustaches for a whole of month to support the fight against men cancer and donations are being arranged to the Movember foundation Australia.

Through these various initiatives, Bolloré Logistics Korea contributes to the CSR program launched by Bolloré Logistics "Powering Sustainable Logistics" built around 11 commitments, especially those related to the preservation of biodiversity and societal commitment.

Our children do trust us and are watching us, so let us be sure, that we hand them over the world where all of us, we would wish to live and therefore to adapt, without waiting, our life style, to a more SUSTAINABLE way,” concluded Thibaut JANSSENS, Managing Director of Bolloré Logistics Korea, during his speech for the award.

One participant of the CSR award event said, “Bolloré Logistics Korea's CSR activities do not only helped Korean society but have also have a very positive impact on the French community in Korea”, adding “We are looking forward to the next unique project.”
