Active Participation at the TIPS 2018

December 6th, 2018

On November 20th and 21st, Bolloré Logistics participated in the 2nd edition of TIPS (Transport International Pharma Seminar) organized by the Pharma Logistics Club (PLC).

This French inter-professional association of international level brings together members of complementary sectors in the Healthcare Supply Chain: transport, packaging, quality, metrology... Bolloré Logistics is a very active member of this association to which it delegates its qualified employees in the cold chain logistics.

This community of experts in the transport and logistics of pharmaceuticals products regularly meets in technical commissions to share and deliver advices and best practices in terms of distribution and certification.

This year, TIPS chose the Lyon metropole for its numerous strengths in the healthcare sector. During two days, the conference brought together more than 400 participants around a hundred speakers. Priority has been given to the integrity and preservation of data in international transport of any healthcare products from clinical trials to blood sample as well as medication or diagnostics.

The animation of the "Sea Freight Transportation" workshop, one of the most important of the conference, was entrusted to Bolloré Logistics; around Franck Philippe, Healthcare Product Manager France, a dozen speakers from the maritime sector (Shipping Lines, Ports ...) presented the results of their commission. A second workshop called “Healthcare Transportation – Americas” was led by Cédric Porte, Healthcare Key Account, France, in collaboration with Sanofi Pasteur and Envirotainer.

“This event brings together all the players of the Healthcare supply chain around the new challenges of this constantly changing market; with a common goal: an optimized supply chain to ensure product integrity to the patient,” says Brice Bellin, Healthcare Product Director Europe.
