Senegal International Mining Conference & Exhibition of Dakar

November 1st, 2018

Bolloré Logistics’ Mining teams will attend the SIM (Senegal International Mining Conference & Exhibition) – a major event for the sector in this region – from 6-8 November, 2018, in Dakar, Senegal. Organized by the Ministry of Industry and Mines in partnership with AME Trade Ltd, this exhibition brings together governments, investors and the major companies of the sector to form partnerships, identify opportunities and collectively move the industry forward.

At the past edition in 2016, more than 1,500 attendees from 45 countries contributed to the success of the event. At this 5th edition, the conference will focus on the new mining code adopted in Senegal that aims to promote exploration and production. In addition to gold, Senegal is also rich in iron ore, with an estimated 75 million tons of reserves and in Zircon since the recent discoveries in the north of Dakar.

Mr. Aliou BARRY, Regional Deputy Director Mining and Mr. Daouda DIOUME, Project Manager, will participate throughout this event to the panel: “exploration of georesources, source of socio-economic development and employment”. Bolloré Logistics’ General management in Senegal has been closely involved and will be present in order to assure the success of this event.

Bolloré Logistics is recognized as a global expert in the Mining industry as a result of the experience gained from working closely with the major players in this sector. Whatever the extent of the project, our teams guarantee specialized resources, complete coordination of operational requirements and compliance with strict QHSE standards, all local and international regulations and the most exacting ethical requirements.

Meet us at King Fahd Palace in Dakar at booth C1, where our Mining team will be present throughout the event to promote our industry expertise and to establish closer business ties with our customers.
