Beginning of May, Bolloré Logistics initiated the construction of the 5th unit of its Roissy CDG warehouse. As part of the overall construction project of the hub, this new 6,000 sqm space mainly dedicated to logistics activities integrating high value-added services will enable Roissy to offer a total surface area of 30,000 sqm and to absorb the strong growth of our air traffic flows.
Another key feature is the building of a 3,000 sqm (1/2 unit) awning for the storage of oversized parcels as well as aircraft pallets.
"The opening of this additional surface will enable us to absorb the strong growth of our export air (luxury market, pharmaceutical industry) and import (high-tech, mobile phone) flows," said Philippe de Crecy, Air Freight Europe VP at Bolloré Logistics.
This Hub is the largest in our industry on Roissy CDG; it is operated by the Bolloré Logistics teams, 7/7 and has direct access to the tarmac to the various airlines.
"The ADP Group is delighted to see that the ambitious real estate project launched in 2014 with Bolloré Logistics, leader of the international logistics of the Paris-Charles de Gaulle hub, proves to be a formidable, qualitative, scalable and value-generating tool on the long term as evidenced by this extension," said Edouard Mathieu, Head of Real Estate Development at Groupe ADP.
The Roissy CDG hub is equipped with the latest technologies; it is part of Bolloré Logistics' active policy of building responsible and sustainable sites, which is driven to limit the impact of its activities on the environment.
Like the whole site, the 5th unit will respect the most demanding environmental standards (LEED Gold certifications, HQE Exceptional, AFILOG *** and Biosourced Building). It should be remembered that the Bolloré Logistics hub of Roissy Charles de Gaulle is one of the first in the world to have obtained the BiodiverCity label, an international label for the consideration of biodiversity in construction and innovation projects, as well as the Ecocert commitment Biodiversity certification.
With a delivery scheduled for January 2019, this 5th unit will be operational from the beginning of the year.
