Bolloré Logistics Asia-Pacific wrapped up the Singapore Airshow 2020 which was held from 11 to 14 February for trade visitors. The 7th edition of Asia’s largest Aerospace and Defense Airshow saw some challenges brought about by the COVID-19 virus. The event this year saw 30,000 trade attendees from over 110 countries and 930 companies. While the decrease in trade-show attendees was expected due to the withdrawal of some exhibitors, this did not deter the team to push forward and to execute a well-organized event with necessary precaution measures in-place.
Amidst the crisis, the airshow serves as an opportunity for Bolloré Logistics to serve and support both loyal customers and prospects. It also facilitates in reaching out to counterparts in the Aerospace and Defense industry for meaningful meetings and insightful discussions. This event also brought forth time and space for the team to bond with customers over an array of food and drinks at the Bolloré Logistics chalet.
A highlight in this year's airshow saw Bolloré Logistics joining key industry partners to launch the MRO Blockchain Alliance. With this being the air transport's first industry wide investigation into using Blockchain technology to track aircraft parts, it sparked further discussions on how innovation can push forth and bring about changes in the Aerospace industry and beyond. This is also particularly meaningful as it allows the company to explore unprecedented opportunities brought about by this alliance.
Another highlight of this year's event was the signing of The Supply and Warehousing and Logistics Management Service contract with a prestigious carrier. The contract signing celebrates over 10 years of collaboration and places another significant milestone in the partnership timeline between the two companies.
