B.Lab is Bolloré Logistics’ digital innovation booster.
Its aim is to accelerate the digitization of the supply chain by supporting all innovation initiatives, from ideation to go-to-market phase.
Our experimental and collaborative approach focuses on the needs of our customers in a context of Digital revolution, Volatile & complex markets, and facing New competitors. It is based on a design thinking methodology.
These innovation initiatives are led by four technologies…
Blockchain to provide structured, distributed, cryptographically secured and forgery-proof protocol sets for data transmission, storage and exploitation within an untrusted ecosystem of partners.
Artificial Intelligence to Interpret and build analysis and predictive model with a significant volume of (accurate) data.
Robotics to deals with the design, construction, operation, and use of robots or Robotic Process Automation, as well as computer systems for their control.
Internet of Things to record / generate accurate "on the field" data without human intervention.
…and relies on
A Pragmatic Innovation Program to achieve Quick Wins & Strategic Wins integrated in Bolloré Logistics strategy through four domains of services:
Supply chain real-time visibility and piloting services to manage near real-time data flows to track & trace goods and their integrity.
Flows optimization & anticipation services using predictive analytics models (relying on internal & external data) to help anticipate and optimize flows and orders and propose alternatives scenarios when needed.
Warehouse Automation Services with Innovative processes and assets to automatize the storage and distribution of goods in a warehouse, using robotics and centrally managed computer systems.
Internal Efficiency services to offer solutions & processes that optimize and improve internal production.
The B.Lab methodology is inspired by a design thinking approach that is described by Tim Brown, CEO of IDEO "as a discipline that uses the designer's sensibility and methods to match people's needs with what is
technologically feasible, and what a
viable business strategy can convert into
customer value and market opportunity"
The design thinking approach allows fluid & versatile processes supported by collaborative Workshops & sprints, all along the different phases (Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, Test, Implement).
III. People: A Worldwide Approach to Drive Digital Innovation
From the Central Authority Body, based in Europe, which validates and follow projects, to Business & Regional and Multi expertise collaborators in Business processes, supply chain, marketing, information systems, sales, solutions operations, Bolloré Logistics has built up a powerful B.Lab network of ambassadors across its five major regions (Africa,
Middle East South Asia).
B.Lab innovation centers support innovators carrying out
pragmatic digital innovative projects.
We facilitate innovation inspiration thanks to a showroom & co-creation by proposing different workshop services for our internal and external customers,
from ideation to implementation in a real environment.
It relies on our B.Lab global network and on a
worldwide innovative ecosystem.
