Bolloré Logistics wishes to inform its customers that on 4th March, 2016, the Chinese Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau together with the Ministry of Transport and other six relevant authorities jointly issued "Notice on Prevention and Control of ZIKA Virus". This Notice took effect from 2nd March 2016 and will be valid for 12 months.
All ocean freight shipments (Transportation vehicles as well as containers) from ZIKA affected countries or areas shall have conducted effective mosquito eradication measures.
As Shipper, you are responsible for providing a ‘Mosquito Eradication Certificate’ which has to be issued and signed either by local authorities or by third party disinfection companies at ZIKA affected countries.
This certificate should include the following key elements:
- Quantity, Container NO, Location
- Date, Name & Quantity of Mosquito Control Management (Active ingredients, dosage, time & way of control). If the shipment has been fumigated, please specify the temperature on certificate
- Shipper, Buyer, Description of Cargo, Marks, Invoice No, etc.
If no anti-mosquito treatment certificate is provided, immediate mosquito eradication will have to be performed under the supervision of the inspection and quarantine authority at the port of discharge in China.
