Bolloré Logistics was appointed as exclusive general sales agent of Congo Airways on the whole territory. Built on following European standards, the company has a modern fleet of A320 aircrafts with a capacity up to 6.5 tons.
The General Sales and Service Agent (GSA) and General Handling Agent (GHA) partnerships already developed by Bolloré Logistics with several major airlines such as Air France, Brussels Airlines, Ethiopian Airlines, Qatar Airways, South African Airways, Kenya Airways across the continent convinced the airline company.
Bolloré Logistics is able to offer a high quality service for airlines and a complete range of services thanks to its investment capacity in specific equipment, dedicated warehouses, and a good knowledge of procedures for Freight Management (unloading, depalletizing, palletizing, cargo security, load optimization) and especially thanks to the skills and expertise of its air crews.
This agreement, in addition to provide security and operational reliability within the airfreight transport market, will help open up areas previously unreachable by large carriers, offering the possibility of new trade. It contributes to the democratization of air cargo and passenger and increases customer satisfaction in one of the largest countries in Africa.
The first flight was made on March 10th between Kinshasa and Lubumbashi, and the company plans to serve not less than 26 domestic and international destinations from its hub in Kinshasa on regular frequencies.
In parallel, and since January 1st, 2016, Bolloré Logistics is the new exclusive cargo’s general sales agent of Delta Airlines Company in Dakar, Senegal.
This partnership underlines the desire for the American airline company to work with an international company, historically present on the African continent, with a good knowledge of the Senegalese air market, having facilities at the airport and a high level of requirement regarding the establishment and the respect of strict SOP.
This is a great reference for Bolloré Logistics’ air transit activity, Delta Airlines being the first in the world in terms of traffic and turnover and the first American company to conclude a GSA agreement with Bolloré Logistics.
With service to six continents, Delta Airlines serves more than 300 destinations and strengthens its cargo African coverage with this New York-Dakar air route; the Group is also present in Lagos, Accra and Johannesburg.
With this new partnership, Bolloré Logistics confirms its willingness to develop its range of services around the airline industry for both import and export.
