New Brand Showcased at SAPICS 2016

June 28th, 2016

Bolloré Logistics was proud to have been a first time silver sponsor at the 38th annual SAPICS 2016 conference.  The event took place at Sun City, South Africa from 12-14 June 2016 with an attendance of over 400 industry professionals.

The Annual SAPICS Conference and Exhibition is the first educational and networking event in South Africa for Professionals of the Supply Chain and professionals of Operations Management. The conference is designed to offer practical and relevant information by providing delegates with excellent educational presentations, case studies and interactive workshops.

Bolloré Logistics in South Africa used this event as an opportunity to launch the new brand to both prospective clients and its peers and to showcase our unique value offering.  This was tailored to our African Logistics capabilities for local clients who were otherwise not aware that Bolloré Logistics could provide a single point solution for all their logistics requirements in Africa.

The event gave us a unique opportunity to interact with decision makers on all levels from prospective clients who we would not usually have easy access to. This included Woolworths and Foschini (Retail), Samsung (Electronics) and Vodacom (Telecommunications) just to name a few”, said David Bester, Bolloré Logistics Commercial Director for RSA, Botswana, Namibia and Zimbabwe.

This was a great platform to showcase our solutions, services and capabilities as well as exchange knowledge, trends and challenges with industry professionals from around the world. This was the first occasion that Bolloré Logistics South Africa (previously SDV South Africa) was present at the conference and was pleased to be awarded the runner up best multiple exhibition stand by the SAPICS Chairman, Mungo Park.

We look forward to capitalizing on the knowledge imparted and reporting on sales successes from the networking conducted at the event.
