SDV Celebrates the World Day for Safety and Health at Work

May 18th, 2015

The Group’s companies, including SDV, actively celebrated the World Day for Safety and Health at Work the 28th of April.

This event, organized each year by the International Labour Organization (ILO) since 2004, is celebrated each 28th of April. The theme chose by ILO for 2015 was “Join in building a culture of prevention on occupational safety and health”.

On the occasion of that day, many safety events were conducted by our collaborators worldwide. Evacuation exercises, first aid awareness, firefighting training, work accidents exercises, spill exercises with chemicals or pollutants, awareness about the wearing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), warehouse inspections, were performed - amongst others - at the Group’s sites. More than 3,500 of SDV, Saga and Bolloré Africa Logistics’ employees participated in most of the countries where they operate.

This day was a real success and helped remind to all the commitment of the Group on its values and culture of prevention in Health, Safety at Work.
