SDV Geis was awarded the Quality Award as well as the eCargo Award 2015 by Lufthansa Cargo for the German market.
More than 100 logistics industry representatives accepted Lufthansa Cargo’s invitation to mutually exchange experiences in Frankfurt, Germany, at the two-day conference January 28-29, 2015.
Quality and digitalization were the topics right at the top of the agenda – these were the demands placed on Lufthansa itself, but also on the customer. "In our collaborations, we always review these two parameters; that forms part of a systematic dialogue between customers and the carrier", explains J. Florian Pfaff, Vice President Area Management Germany at Lufthansa Cargo.
Traditionally, as part of the event, a number of Lufthansa Cargo customers were honored with an award for being pioneers in these two categories. "The presentation of the awards is meant to represent both the high esteem that we hold them in as well as act as an incentive for further improvements" says Mr. Pfaff.
This year, the Quality Award for the German market was awarded by Lufthansa Cargo for the fifth time. SDV Geis was best-placed and received the award for being a forwarder that tackles more than 10,000 air waybills (AWBs) every year. Different quality parameters were assessed relating to compliance with scope of service and delivery punctuality.
The eCargo Award was created last year, aiming at supporting the rapid expansion of digital processes between freight forwarders and airline companies. SDV Geis was also awarded in this category with more than 10,000 AWBs per year.
Finally, SDV Geis achieved first place in these respective categories for the combined evaluation of Quality and eCargo, pursuing its efforts in quality services and digitalization.
