Bolloré Logistics Comes Back to its Support for Alstom in its Supply Chain for Growth Ambition

February 8th, 2016

On Friday, January 29, 2016, at its headquarters in Saint-Ouen (France), our customer Alstom closed its internal communication event related to the issues of the supply chain performance for the managers / directors of their global network and with the participation of their three main logistics partners.

The objective was to sensitize the audience on the importance of optimizing the supply flows and demonstrate the full extent of the control of the supply chain which goes beyond the only transport management (procurement, logistics, planning, supplier’s development etc.).

Bolloré Logistics naturally responded positively to Alstom, a strategic customer with whom a long-standing partnership was formed.
Our ambition is indeed to support our customers in the conquest of international markets.

A quiz on the International Logistics of Alstom consisting of six multiple choice questions was sent to all their staff with the opportunity to win one day visit with 3PLs of a commercial port and observe the loading / unloading containers operations.

1,500 people from 25 different countries answered the quiz, 250 filled in the right answers.
At the end, more than 30 Alstom employees worldwide have visited eight ports among the biggest worldwide.
It has been a pleasure for Bolloré Logistics to welcome two Alstom delegations in Le Havre port in France and Johannesburg in South Africa.

This day was a great success as witnessed Mr. Laurent Bihry, Director of International Logistics at Alstom: “This communication event is now officially closed and I would like once again to warmly thank your company, your colleagues for having participated so enthusiastically to the elaboration and execution of this event. Your support as well as Alstom participants’ enthusiastic feedback proves us the interest of this kind of event. We are discussing already new opportunities to be organized in 2016 to better understanding of each other’s.”
