A New Step for Bolloré Logistics & IDA Foundation

August 2nd, 2017

Bolloré Logistics and IDA Foundation recently reinforced their cooperation by signing several agreements engaging Bolloré Logistics’ full scope of services in Africa, Asia Pacific and Middle East - South Asia.

The contract was signed last June, during the 2017 Paris Airshow at Le Bourget, by Mr. Philippe LORTAL, Chief Executive Officer Bolloré Logistics Middle East – South Asia, and Mr. Edwin De VOOGD, Chief Executive Officer of IDA Foundation.

This renewable one-year contract includes air and sea movement management of essential medicine transportation from South India, Asia and Europe to Middle East and Africa.

IDA Foundation, acting as the procurement agent of a leading non-governmental organization also requested Bolloré Logistics' support on Long Lasting Insecticidal Nets (LLINs) distribution in Asia Pacific and Africa.

In order to successfully lead both projects, Bolloré Logistics will implement a complete range of services, including sea and inland upstream transport, customs clearance, warehousing, and air, sea (Indonesia) and inland delivery (Uganda and Indonesia).

Moreover, Bolloré Logistics will be in charge of kitting a whole range of the World Health Organization (WHO) emergency health kits for IDA Foundation, which will take place in Singapore's platform and will be coupled with upstream transport and kits warehousing. This IDA Foundation's new strategic outsourcing project will now secure a buffer stock of 1.2 to 1.5 thousand of kits pallets in case of humanitarian crisis.

"IDA Foundation and Bolloré Logistics are entering a reinforcement phase in their global cooperation. This agreement, which is the result of several years of combined efforts, demonstrates our indefectible geographical global coverage as well as Bolloré Logistics teams' expertise. It equally embodies Bolloré Logistics' commitment towards IDA Foundation, especially through the implementation of a dedicated Control Tower in Mumbai (India) and our intensified process integration," said Mr. Emmanuel PETREQUIN, Sales and Marketing Director for Bolloré Logistics Middle East – South Asia & Global Account Manager IDA Foundation.
