Bolloré Logistics Congo, a Partner of FNAC

August 2nd, 2017

Subsidiary of the Mercure International Monaco group, SCORE-CASINO, has just welcomed the FNAC international brand into its Brazzaville shopping centre, which already includes many other franchises. FNAC specialises in the distribution of cultural and electronic products.

In May 2017, Bolloré Logistics Congo was chosen to manage the overall logistics for imports by FNAC. Thanks to its customised logistics solutions, the local teams have been able to provide services covering the shipment, customs clearance and delivery of all the products from France to the 400 sqm site of the FNAC store.

Given the fragile nature of the merchandise, Bolloré Logistics Congo set up specific measures to ensure optimal and safe deliveries. All the operations were supervised by a cargo damage inspector specially assigned to this project. His role was to verify the integrity of all the goods (in terms of quantity and value) as soon as the aircraft arrived on the tarmac, and to carry out an analysis of the risks between the Congo's warehouse and the stores of the customer. All these phases, plus the customs inspection, had to be thoroughly checked to ensure the smooth running of the project.

The inauguration took place on June 30th in Brazzaville, for an official opening of the store on July 1st. Thanks to the expertise of Bolloré Logistics Congo, the goods were transported on seven flights. They were carried on 80 pallets, making up a total weight of 18 tons of freight, mainly comprising electronic devices, display cases and cash registers, and were transported to the site within 24 hours for each delivery, thanks to the issuing of an AETEX (exceptional authorisation to collect goods) by the customs authority.

Mr. Lucien Malouala, Transit Manager of the SCORE-CASINO group and Mr. Jacques Rivière, General Manager of SCORE Congo warmly congratulated the local teams in Congo and welcomed the success of the operations carried out.

Bolloré Logistics Congo is proud to be involved in establishing the FNAC chain in the Congo and to contribute its expertise to this logistical project which foreshadows a long and fruitful collaboration.
